Conserve energy & save the environment! Getting "off the grid" is
a term we see and hear in the media every day and for good reason. This is one of the most
effective approaches to saving energy, the environment and, last but not least, saving
money on your electrical bills.
We as a society have seen the emergence of
energy efficient appliances and electronics such as refrigerators, clothes dryers, washing
machines and audio products etc. Government supported programs such as Energy Star and
Energuide assist in our ability to determine the product's energy consumption and
impact the ultimate buying decision for these common consumer goods.
Efficiency is important but all these
products still CONSUME power. What if we were capable of operating energy consuming
products completely free from the power grid altogether?
Off The Grid Audio is proud to offer
complete audio systems that, when in operation, are completely autonomous from the
electrical lines. Power amplifiers, preamplifiers, music servers all operating and
deriving power from built in, auto recharging, self monitoring, high current SLA
batteries, as well as custom modified MP3 players and accessories running on their own
internal battery.
We are not talking about boom box sound here
but dynamic, audiophile grade performance that is easily integrated into existing 2
channel or 5.1 systems or the foundation of a new system. After all, Vinnie Rossi,
designer and engineer of Red Wine Audio has one goal in mind: to design the best
sounding equipment, utilizing cutting edge technology, rivaling the performance of
audio gear 2 to 3 times the price, all operating off the power grid.
What does all this mean?
On an energy savings basis, our SLA battery
powered products are unparalleled!
The average consumer does not equate their
home entertainment systems with power consumption. Energy efficient refrigerators, dryers
and light bulbs dominate the "energy efficient" or "green" landscape.
The truth of the matter is that your home entertainment system may draw as much power
or more as your washer and dryer combined, annually.
The average stereo amplifier may draw
up to 240 to 1000 watts per hour ( 0.240 kWh to 1 kWh ) or more . The average audio
video receiver may draw 500 watts per hour ( 0.5 kWh) or more with the built in
amplifiers drawing most of the power. CD/DVD players, flat panels, TV's and cable boxes
all add to the total power draw. The math is simple! Check your amperage rating on your
amplifier or A/V receiver or any other device in your system and multiply by 120 and you
will determine your watts consumed per hour. Some products will provide wattage
consumption so that would be your watts consumed per hour or kWh as listed on your
electrical bill.
The average stereo amplifier or A/V
receiver used on average 4 hours a day will consume about 750 kWh or more in a year.
750kWh is the same annual consumption as a consumer laundry washing machine in an average
household. Add the power consumption of your additional home entertainment components and
you may be shocked.
Annual energy consumption for the Red
Wine Audio Signature series components is less than 5 kWh per component! This is
the power consumed annually to recharge the batteries.
Red Wine Audio products
are 99% more energy efficient than any comparable audio product on the market
today!
All SLA battery powered amplifiers generate
no heat no mater how loud or long you listen. Locating the SLA batery powered
components is a breeze...tucked away in a cabinet or proudly on display!
You can save $150 or more a year on your
electricity bill just by replacing your current stereo amplifier or supplementing your
AVR with one or more of our Red Wine Audio Signature amplifiers. The cost of energy will
continue to rise, so if you keep the amplifier for 10 years, energy savings of $2000 or
more can be achieved.
Additional savings can be realized by adding
our iMod and music servers and any one of our spectacular speaker lines for a complete Off
The Grid system.

phenomenal sound! |
